New Age Industrial Manufacturing Process

New Age Industrial Manufacturing Process

At New Age Industrial, we take great pride in our products. There are many steps involved with manufacturing aluminum equipment, from concept to completion. Each step ensures that a quality product is built every time.

Design

Our engineers and designers utilize the latest software design tools to take products from concept to completion. With the use of 3D drawings, the products come to life. Many of our products are customized, and our team takes great pride in designing solutions to fit your exact needs. Our skilled engineers develop products for a variety of industries across the globe.

Extrusion

Extruding is one of our most significant manufacturing advantages, giving us control over product design, material size, shape, and quantity. We have over 1,000 hollow and solid dyes in stock. A gas-fired furnace pre-heats the aluminum billet to 800 degrees Fahrenheit. Then, the 60-pound billet is heated to 1100 degrees Fahrenheit and pushed through an extrusion press. It takes 2.4 million pounds of force to extrude aluminum!

Straightening/Hardening

The extruded aluminum is pulled and straightened to aid in the process of hardening the aluminum. An aging oven is used for additional artificial hardening. The extruded hardened aluminum is then placed in stock and ready for fabrication.

Saw/Fabrication

Manual cutting is performed for specific components. High-volume, repetitive cuts are sent to precision computer-controlled saws designed by our own engineers. This process helps us achieve the highest standard of quality possible. We fabricate components for both stock and custom products. Computer-controlled bending machines allow us to bend aluminum components. Then, proper measurements are manually checked.

Coil

Coil is our second largest aluminum product used in production. We unroll the coil, straighten the sheet, and cut it to length. Our turret punches allow for the integration of computer-aided design, ensuring a precise part is made each time. The press brakes machine enables us to make accurate bends for a better product. Vertical milling machines are used for larger runs and custom applications.

Welding

New Age Industrial has over 50 individual welding stations using both MIG and TIG argon gas welding. Our combination of skilled operators and robotics allows us to maintain our industry-recognized high standards in welding aluminum. State-of-the-art robotic welders are used to increase our efficiency and lower costs for high-volume, repetitive welds. Robotics free up our hands-on welding team for more specialized jobs.

Washing/Shipping

The automated wash system with reverse osmosis rinse ensures that a bright and clean product will be shipped each time. Our shipping department carefully assembles and packages items to make sure orders go out on time and arrive safely.

New Age Industrial is the leading aluminum extruder and fabricator of storage and transportation equipment in the United States. We use a Flexible Manufacturing Process to design and build heavy-duty yet lightweight aluminum products that can be customized to fit your exact needs, completely stress-free. Our unmatched versatility in product design and in-house team of experts make New Age Industrial the Top Choice for material handling and food service equipment. Our products are Proudly Made in the USA!
