Enhance the functionality and longevity of your New Age Industrial equipment with our wide range of factory-installed options and accessories. Whether you need to protect your walls from impact, secure your inventory, or upgrade your mobility for rough terrain, we have a solution tailored to your specific application. Note that some options may affect the final dimensions of the unit or its NSF certification status; please contact the factory for specific details.
Casters & Mobility Upgrades
- Caster Locks (Suffix “CL”): Ensure stability during loading, unloading, or stationary storage. This option adds locking brakes to specific casters on your unit. Available for stem and plate casters in various sizes (e.g., CL(A) for 5″ stem, CL(B) for 5″ plate, CL(C) for 6″ plate).
- Caster Upgrades (Suffix “M6” / “M5”): Upgrade standard 5″ casters to heavy-duty 6″ plate-type swivel casters (“M6″) for easier maneuverability over thresholds and uneven floors. Some units can also be upgraded to 5” plate casters (“M5”).
- Medical Grade Casters (Suffix “MD”): Upgrade to 5″ medical-grade casters designed for quieter operation and resistance to chemicals often found in healthcare environments. Note: Caster locks are unavailable for some models with this upgrade.
Bumpers & Wall Protection
- Corner Bumpers (Suffix “B”): Protect your facility’s walls and doorways. These non-marking gray rubber bumpers are mounted to the corners of the unit’s base. Note: This option typically adds 2” to the overall width and depth of the unit.
- Vertical Bumpers (Suffix “VB”): Ideal for carts used in narrow hallways. These non-marking black rubber strips (usually 8” long) are mounted near the bottom of the unit’s uprights to deflect impact. Note: This option typically adds 1” to the overall width and depth of the unit.
- Perimeter Bumper (Suffix “PB”): Maximum protection for the unit and your facility. A non-marking gray rubber strip is affixed around the entire base of the unit. Note: This option typically adds 2” to the overall width and depth of the unit.
Structural & Security Add-Ons
- Solid Base (Suffix “E”): Increase sanitation and splash protection. A solid aluminum sheet is securely welded to the top of the unit’s base frame. Must be factory installed.
- Pan Stop (Suffix “PS”): Prevent spills and accidents. An aluminum strap is welded to the rear of the rack to prevent pans or trays from pushing off the back of the unit. Must be factory installed.
- Prison/Correctional Packages (Suffix “PP”): Modify equipment for high-security environments. Options range from Tamper-Resistant Screws (PP-A) to comprehensive packages including welded hinges, extra interior bracing, 6″ caster upgrades, and padlock holes in doors (PP-B).
Rack Covers
- Universal Rack Covers: Heavy-duty covers (such as Model #1359) designed to protect food products from contaminants during transport and storage. Features often include clear windows for product visibility and heavy-duty zippers for easy access.
Important Note: Options may not be NSF Certified. Factory installation is required for most upgrades (like welding and bumper attachment). Please contact the factory for more information regarding specific model compatibility.
