The New Age Industrial Mobile Heavy Duty Welded Aluminum Full-Size End-Loading Nesting “U” Type Sheet (Bun) Pan Racks are engineered for operations where space is at a premium. Unlike standard square-frame racks that consume valuable floor area when empty, these specialized units feature a unique “U” shaped support frame that allows them to nest together tightly when not in use. This design creates significant space savings; for example, storing 6 “U” Racks requires only 13.8 square feet, whereas storing 6 standard racks occupies 22.4 square feet. Despite their space-saving footprint, these racks sacrifice nothing in terms of strength, utilizing heavy-duty aluminum construction to withstand rigorous daily use.
Features that Make a Difference:
- Heavy-Duty “U” Frame: The horizontal supports are constructed of 1” x 2” tubing welded in a “U” shape to facilitate nesting. The base features a sturdy “U” support frame with pre-tapped caster plates welded to each corner for superior caster retention.
- Robust Angle Guides: Vertical uprights made of 1” x 1” x .070” wall tubing support heavy-duty 1 ¼” x 1 5/8” x .100” angle runners. These guides support trays from the bottom, ensuring equal load distribution for “worry-free” handling.
- Reinforced Stability: To prevent “racking” under heavy loads, 1 ½” x 1 ½” x 5/8” thick angle gussets are securely welded to the bottom of the inside angle where horizontal braces meet uprights. These gussets add an extra 4 ½” of weld per corner for maximum durability.
- Sanitary Construction: These units are NSF Certified and feature all heli-arc welded construction with sealed seams. This eliminates cracks and crevices where dirt can collect, making the racks easy to clean and keep sanitary.
- Mobile & Floor Safe: Equipped with four 5” heavy-duty plate-type swivel casters featuring non-marking polyurethane wheels, these racks are built to be pushed around busy kitchens while protecting floors from scuff marks.
